With a view west to the towering Pisa Ranges and east to sparkling Lake Dunstan, Lilyvale is a wonderful place representing the growth of Akarua and expansion into certified organic farming. Lilyvale is a vineyard of nearly five hectares, planted to a collection of pinot noir clones. It is currently undergoing conversion to organic certification, a process to be completed in 2021. Winemaker Andrew Keenleyside has noticed complex flavours in the stems of the Pinot noir bunches at Lilyvale, a unique expression of this site.
