Edmond de Rothschild Heritage, Listrac-Médoc, Bordeaux
Château Clarke 2014
When Baron Edmond de Rothschild acquired this little-known property in 1973, he sensed the enormous potential of its terroir. He took his time meticulously and methodically restoring the vineyards over ten years, with a dream of raising Chateau Clarke to the level
of the best Grand Crus.

Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild gave Chateau Clarke new impetus with the appointment of Fabrice Darmaillacq as Technical Director
and Eric Boissenot, a renowned oenologist.
The clay-limestone soils were planted to 70% Merlot - a rarity in the Medoc - while the gravelly-sandy soils were planted to 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.
