Join us at Akarua on Thursday 24th July, from 5pm to 8pm, for the 3rd edition of our French Wine Tasting — an evening dedicated to discovering our exclusive selection of wines from Bordeaux. Each wine is thoughtfully paired with a specially curated plate or bite designed to bring out its character. All included for $35 per person.
Immerse yourself in the heart of Bannockburn’s terroir with Akarua’s exclusive Vineyard Tour Experience. Your journey begins with a private guided drive through the estate vineyard, accompanied by a member of our vineyard team. Enjoy panoramic views from Rockview Point – a perfect moment for photos and social sharing.
Next, step into our Cellar Door with our signature "Pioneer Tasting", paired with a handcrafted local cheese/charcuterie platter.
You will be guided through a blending session using barrel samples or components of Akarua Pinot Noir. You'll learn about terroir, clone variation, and winemaking decisions.
A curated vertical tasting featuring rare library vintages of Akarua Pinot Noir alongside current releases. Includes discussion of vintage variation, aging potential, and winemaking evolution.
Taste Akarua Chardonnay alongside benchmark samples from France (Champagne) & South Africa. A comparative experience showcasing regional styles and winemaking philosophies.
