We will also send you a reminder two weeks and two days prior to your shipment date to your email address.

If you love our award-winning wines, the Akarua Wine Club is just for you.
Designed with ease in mind, each quarterly shipment is carefully selected by our winemaker Andrew Keenleyside and delivered straight to your door.
Our club members have the ability to customise their shipments, whilst enjoying savings of up to 24.99% along with an allocation of our harder to reach wines.
Choose which quantity of wine you wish to be sent to you each quarter.
How does it work?
Step 1: You will receive an email confirming your upcoming wine club shipment.
Step 2: Confirm or customise your quarterly shipment.
Once you have received the email, you can confirm if you would like to customise, create a standing order (the same varietals for each shipment) or go ahead with our winemaker's selection.
We will confirm by email the exact date the payment will be taken from your account. You will also be sent a two week and two day reminder for when your card is going to be processed. Wine Club members are welcome to login, select the wines for their shipment and ship straight away if they prefer.
If you are away or you have a surplus of Akarua wine at home, you are more than welcome to skip the shipment by replying to our email.
Step 3: Card is charged and your shipment is dispatched.
You have the ability to customise and ship your wines straight away by logging into your my account area or contacting us directly.
Otherwise we will ship your wines as follows:
12 bottle member cards will be charged and shipments dispatched on the first week of the shipment month.
6 bottle member cards will be charged and shipments dispatched on the second week of the shipment month.
3 bottle member cards will be charged and shipments dispatched on the third week of the shipment month.

How does it work?
Receive four deliveries of Akarua wines every three months, in February, May, August and November.
How much does each shipment cost?
To keep things simple your payments will be the same for each quarter. Please note customised orders may vary from prices indicated below.

How does my online account work?
If you have signed up as a wine club member online you will already have your online account created. If we have created your wine club membership for you in-house you will need to press the ‘request password’ option.
How do I adjust my shipment online?
Login to your account area on our website.
Click on my account.
Click on Club memberships.
One month prior to your shipment, we will automatically add the winemakers selection to your package. The winemakers selection is added as a bundle option to your shipment automatically.
If you wish to customise, select the 'adjust your shipment' button.
You can remove the winemakers selection and add the bottles you wish to include for your upcoming shipment.

What discount do I receive on additional wine purchases over and above my quarterly wine club shipments?
3 bottle members receive 15% discount on RRP of additional wine purchases.
6 bottle members receive 20% discount on RRP of additional wine purchases.
12 bottle members receive 24.99% discount on RRP of additional wine purchases.

What freight charges apply to Wine Club purchases?
All purchases of 12 or more bottles are shipped freight free within New Zealand.
A $10 freight charge applies to 3 and 6 bottle purchases within New Zealand. International shipping available. Please contact the cellar door for international delivery options and freight charges.

Which wines will be included in the Wine Club shipments?
A third of every shipment will include our current release Akarua Pinot Noir. The rest of the shipment will be made up of at least two other current releases.
You can choose to customise your shipment according to your preferences if you wish.
How do I know which wines will be included in each shipment?
In the month prior to each shipment, you will be advised by email of the wines to be included in the upcoming shipment. These wines will be automatically forwarded to you unless you request to customise your order at least 2 weeks prior to the shipping date.
How do I pay for my Wine Club shipments?
The cost of each shipment together with any applicable freight charges will be charged to the credit card submitted with your membership application. We will indicate the date your card will be charged during the shipment month. All credit cards are stored in our encrypted payment system and cannot be viewed by any staff member at any time.
Can I change my Wine Club order at any time?
You can change your Wine Club order at any time up to 2 weeks prior to any shipping date. We will notify you of any resulting change to the amount to be charged to your credit card.
Can I change my Wine Club membership status?
You can upgrade your membership status or change to another membership option at any time up to 2 weeks prior to any shipping date.
Do I have to take every quarterly shipment?
We appreciate that some members may from time to time may be away from home and/or unable to receive a delivery, so you may skip a shipment by notifying us up to 2 weeks prior to the shipment date without penalty.
What if I decide I don’t want to be a member of the Wine Club anymore?
After one year, your membership can be cancelled by written notice at any time up to 2 weeks prior to any shipping date. You may also choose to place your membership on hold (for a maximum of 12 months) rather than cancelling, which will enable you to continue to receive our newsletters and enjoy all other exclusive membership benefits until you choose to recommence your quarterly shipments.
Can I pick up my wine from the winery instead of having it shipped to me?
Yes. If you would rather pick up your wines from our Bannockburn Cellar Door you can select that option when specifying your shipment information. Please note, we are unable to offer pick up at our Arrowtown Cellar Door, due to very limited storage space.
How do I get my 10% discount at Akarua Wines & Kitchen by Artisan restaurant?
You will receive an Akarua Wine Club Membership card by post which entitles you to a 10% discount on your food and beverage bill at Akarua Wines & Kitchen by Artisan. You must present your card on arrival to receive the discount. This discount is applicable for a maximum of TWO people per membership card, per visit. It is not transferable.

Terms and Conditions for Wine Club & Wine Purchases
By purchasing products via the Akaura Winery website you agree to and are bound by the Terms and Conditions listed on this webpage. These Terms and Conditions may be amended by Akarua Ltd at any time.
Wine Club Membership
Akarua Wine Club Membership is subject to a minimum of four purchases. By ticking the Terms and Conditions box at sign up confirmation, you are agreeing to these terms. After one year, you are free to cancel at any time up to 2 weeks prior to any shipping date, without penalty.
We respect and honour the privacy of our customers. We will not at any stage sell or rent your personal information to any third party. If you agree to sign up to our wine club or mailing list; your details will be added to our database to receive updated information from us. Any personal details collected by Akarua Ltd are stored in a private database that will only be used to support your customer relationship with us.
Sale of Liquor Act
Akarua Winery is a New Zealand owned off license as defined in New Zealand’s Sale of Liquor Act and is legally authorised to promote, sell and deliver wine via online or mail order. It is illegal for Akarua Winery to sell liquor to any persons under the age of 18. It is also illegal for anyone to purchase alcohol who is under 18 and to make a false declaration of their age in order to purchase liquor. It is against the law to use this website to purchase liquor if you are under the age of 18.
Returns and Refund Policy
Akarua will make every effort to ensure that your purchases are not faulty or defective. Under the Consumers Guarantees Act we will replace goods that are not of merchantable quality. If you are not satisfied in regards to your purchase(s) please feel free to contact us at +64 (03) 445 0897.
Akarua Ltd accepts all payments via Visa, MasterCard and American Express. As a New Zealand owned organisation all payments are made in NZ dollars, inclusive of 15% GST.
Akarua Ltd does not retain any credit card information provided by our customers. All payments are done securely through our bank and payment provider. Our payment providers are committed to data security and use a variety of technologies and procedures to help protect personal information from unauthorised access.
Akarua Ltd will aim to deliver all purchases within two to five working days however we do ask that you please allow up to ten working days for quarterly Wine Club shipment deliveries.
